Blagoevgrad - Bulgaria

Drive along the international road E79 you will reach to the one of the biggest towns in South Western Bulgaria.

The distance from Sofia to Blagoevgrad is about 100km and usually takes 2.5 hours to drive. It is the main point on the international road and the railway route Sofia-Kulata-Athens.

When you get closer to the foot of South west Rila mountain where Blagoevgrad is situated you will see 10 mountains clustered in the south-west part of Bulgaria: Pirin, Rila, Rhodope Mountains, Malashevska, Vlahina, Ograjden, Belasitsa, Slavyanka, Kozhukh and Stargach.
