The area is very pretty and its attractiveness sets it apart from other coastal towns in Bulgaria. The approach to Balchik as one drives north from Varna and the pretty resort of Albena is breathtaking and many clients decide at this point that this is the place they want to buy their holiday villa.
Balchik has seen some rapid improvements recently in its infrastructure and has benefited from both EU funding and private investment. However, the town still maintains its charm and has managed to avoid over development of the shoreline.
The new restaurants provide an ideal place to eat, drink wine and relax and enjoy the views over the harbor and the bay.
For those who like boating the harbor provides a fabulous facility where one can moor a boat.
The famous Botanical Gardens are also located in Balchik and provide a tranquil area where one can walk and relax and enjoy the fragrance of the beautiful scented flowers in the spring and summer.
Just 2km to the north of Balchik is an area called Topola. This is area is attracting many investors as now the golf course designed by Gary Player is currently under construction.
For investors interested in this area we can provide land next to the course with outline building permission and using our in house service we can design and obtain building permission for you to construct your dream home.
To the north of Topola is the wonderful peninsular and wildlife viewing area of Cape Kaliakra. From this high vantage point one can look out across the clear blue waters of the coast, enjoy a variety of rare birds and watch dolphins following the fishing boats.
To the south of Balchik there are many very popular resorts, Albena, Kranevo, Golden Sands and Sveti Konstantin. Albena is closer to Balchik and clients always remark at how well kept and clean the resort is. It is an ideal location for a family day out on the beach.
Varna is the main town in the northern coast and it provides a multitude of restaurants, hotels and shopping facilities. In the summer and particularly at weekends the Varna pedestrian and shopping areas are filled with thousands of people relaxing and walking along the boulevard and taking a leisurely stroll in the towns beautiful sea garden, filled with wonderfully scented flowers.
Varna is served by an international airport and is connected by all year round flights from London and in the peak summer periods by a plethora of charter flights direct from many regional UK airports.
The town is benefiting from EU funding and this can be seen in many of its buildings which have been renovated to their original condition under the Beautiful Bulgaria Project.
Varna is an exciting place and their is a feeling that the town is moving forward and will play a key role in the renaissance of Bulgaria and particularly as the focal point of the rapidly improving Black Sea Coast.
