Pamporovo is situated in the South East of Bulgaria in the Rhodope Mountain Range. It is a high mounttaineous area and borders with Greece. Karlovo, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Planina Mountains

Karlovo is situated less than a hundred miles east of Sofia, connected by a good highway and can be reached from Sofia airport within an hour and a half drive.

 

Many visitors to Karlovo and the surrounding villages remark about the well maintained streets and houses. The area is noted for its fresh clean invigorating air, ecology and is nature.

 

It has easy access to skiing facilities which have not been overdeveloped. These are just 20 mins drive away and provide a perfect opportunity for family skiing away from other commercialized ski slopes.

The rich flora and fauna come to prove that. Some of the best hunting trophies such as bear, red deer can be found in the game reserves.

Bozhentsi is a 600year old architectural and historical reserve. It is located in a pretty valley, and all its authentic houses date back to the renaissance period. Bozhentsi is an excellent place for individual and family tourism.

Etura is also located near Gabrovo and is a fascinating outdoor working museum of traditional Bulgarian manufacturing and architecture.
